How to buy our work
Bill, John and Andrew each run their own photography practice, and are financially independent. Customers are asked to please deal with each artist directly when purchasing work. Unless otherwise indicated, all images in our online galleries are for sale, or in the case of Andrew - are given out for FREE. GST liability will vary artist to artist, and will be clearly stated as included in the price of work if it applies.
Generally speaking, we provide unmounted, unframed prints of the displayed work on your choice of, matte or gloss archival quality inkjet paper, or stretch canvas.
These are rolled up into suitably sized postal tubes, and sent to customers by regular mail. Standard print sizes available are: A4, A3, A2, A1, however other sizes, and special papers, may be available upon request.
Prices will vary between artists, and quantities may be subject to limited edition.
For payment: we will only accept Postal Money Orders, Bank Cheques and Personal Cheques in $AUD. These must be made payable to, and mailed to the relevant artist. Funds must be cleared by the relevant financial institutions before we will forward the work to the customer ASAP. Please DO NOT post cash.
ANDREW VILDER
As of 01/5/2007, until further notice, Andrew is happy to give anybody a print of any of his works FOR FREE!
The recipient MAY wish to send Andrew a gift in return, but this is not strictly necessary. The gift may be monetary, or something else you feel may benefit a middle-aged photographic artist. For legal reasons, it must be accompanied by a note clearly indicating that it is A GIFT.
This way, any value judgement regarding Andrew's work is left entirely up to the person who would like to have it. As this will no longer be a 'sale' transaction, taxes will not apply - a huge saving for all concerned.
Andrew only asks that the recipient cover the expenses involved in forwarding the work: $12 postage and packaging if within Australia, or $25 postage and packaging anywhere else in the world, for each print.
Please understand that due to the huge interest suddenly generated by this offer, there may be some delay in getting the work out to recipients, although Andrew is doing his best.
For the technically minded, Andrew's prints are professionally produced on a Canon 5000, using 12 different coloured pigment inks. The manufacturer's estimate of lifespan of both inks and papers is 100 years under good storage or display conditions.
BILL DOWLING
Despite the above, each of my pictures have specific media requirements as noted with each picture. Mostly my pictures do not conform to standard sizes A4, A3, etc.
As with Andrew Vilder, since we both use the same company my pictures will all be printed by a commercial printer with pigment inks on pre-stretched primed canvas or high quality paper and will have the same archival qualities, given appropriate care.
Because of the variety of picture sizes the prices are given with each picture and include packaging in a mailing a tube, of a size to suit the picture.
Postage cost will vary depending on picture size and distance to destination within Australia. Pictures will be registered and insured. The postage cost will be emailed to the prospective purchaser within 2 working days of receipt of their email.
I will be attempting organise a shopping cart and to allow payment by Pay Pal. This will allow faster payment and dispatch of pictures also allow easier transactions with overseas buyers.
